My typical answer , they both kick ass but Zakk is the man .He`s one of the few guys in metal (along w/Dime) that still shred out a killer solo

Wow! that's a tuff one, but my vote is for Dime all the way! I like Zakk a lot, but to me, Dime is up there with the man himself! (Eddie if you didn't know )

Both are great players, and both have a hilarious anti-pop attitude, which is great. But I'd have to go with Zakk as well, despite his reliance on harmonic squeals (yeah, it may be his style, but it got really irritating on the Live at Budokan album!). I like his work with Ozzy better than any Pantera tune. As with many newer groups, it's the singing that makes it hard for me to enjoy Pantera's stuff. Usually with their tunes, I just listen to the riff for a bit, then skip to the solo. It's hard to listen to a full Pantera song for me.

Like them both as well, but my vote goes to Zakk.

I agree with Tribb here - Dimebag is shit hot but I love Zakk's playing. The last few Ozzy albums wouldn't have been shit without him......

Gotta go with DIME. Zakk Wylde is great but he is so predictable, but they are both great. Try listening to No More Tears and blast the volume on the solo part, get goosebumps everytime!!!

I'm gonna have to go Zakk dude. Not that I'm a huge Wylde fan, but I really dig his work with Ozzy....who couldn't? I recently saw him performing live on TV with Black Label Society. In my opinion the song choked the scrote man, mainly due to the shithouse vocals, but Zakk's playin was amazing as usual.

Now Dime, I dig, but hey I don't own any Pantera albums. I appreciate the dude, and like some of his songs, but he's not in my top 10.

What I'm really curious to hear is the Duet album that Dime was going to do with David Allen Coe. I've tried to find some information about that project, but not even hardcore Pantera fans seem to know about it. Hell that fucker was supposed to come out five years ago or some shit, maybe more, so if anyone knows anything about it it'd be appreciated.
FUCK THE DUMB SHIT!!!!

I think he mentioned that in a magazine I got a ways back. I'll see if I can find it.
