I am wanting one of these guitars so bad I can't stand it. I had 3 wolfgangs, and am now down to just 1, so I'm making the room for another guitar.

I think I want a PRS, but am not sure. Any suggestions?

Paul Reed Smith is a different animal from a Wolfie.. But it's my prefference. I'd have to agree with what Ted Nugent once said; "These are the Ferrari of guitars"! I own a CE22, & I can honestly say that I've never in 25+ years played a sweeter guitar!

PRS does nothing for me. they seem to be the "trendy" guitars right now. i'll stick with Hamers...

"Trendy"? a 20 year trend? That speaks VOLUMES! Sounds like a rave to me!

Twona, I'm not trying to start an argument, but the exact SAME thing could be said about Les Paul's in the 80's. Slash started it, & suddenly everyone & his sister was playing a Les Paul. I can see what your saying, but PRS have been around long enough that, at this point, the fact that alot of the newer bands are using them is more a testiment to how great a guitar it is. Not that half of these guitarists can really PLAY all that well. But, I remember a time when those piece of shit Jaguars where all the rage (thanks Kurt).
All I can say is, I've been wanting a PRS since I saw Alex Lifeson playing one @ 20 years ago.

i really don't like Gibsons... never bought into that hype either...as they say, to each his own. PRS are at least put together really well, more than some of the other brands can say...

oh, MAN! my very FIRST guitar was a black (as they have all been ever since) Hondo II Les Paul copy. What a piece of CRAP that was... but I LOVED IT! I played that sucker for THOUSANDS of hours! When I finally got my next guitar (A REAL Les Paul.. figures,.. lol) We took the Hondo out back, & sacrificed it to the Guitar Gods, with an axe. R.I.P. "Little Hondo"....

In my experience the PRS guitars a really well built, consistant guitar.

I never aquired a tast for them myself, but of all the production guitars out there, they're one of the best, just wwwwaaaaaayyyy too much money IMO.

I totally agree with home on this one...nice geetars, but you're paying for a name...a nice name, but a name nonetheless...
