Looks like a pretty decent kit.

After checking out his site though, I may have to talk to this guy about restoring my '77 Dean ML, it looks like he's very experienced with Deans and has some pretty cool things to say about them, most of which I already knew, but it would be a relief letting someone work on it who's had that kind of experience.

His inlay work is pretty freakin' sweet, too.

EVH: Definitely. Playing guitar was my sanctuary. It was the one place I could go to if I got fucked around by a girlfriend, or anyone else, for that matter. It still is. If there’s something I can’t deal with, I can just spend hours playing. It’s a God-given gift – I certainly don’t know where the ideas come from. They’re obviously given to you, and you have to keep your fingers moving and your mind quiet. I try my best to not think about thinking, so I can just let it flow. Because when I start thinking, forget it.
So....why he isn't playing guitar ? ? ?

I'm interested in this kit but the body they had pictured on the page isn't drilled/routed for the Floyd Rose pegs. Does anyone know if you have to drill the holes yourself? If you do, that kind of sucks.

there are pilot holes for the Floyd on the Rodgers kit, and if you are expecting a 5 piece puzzle don't buy it, you have work to do hence it being a kit, you can't just slap it together and away it goes, it *is Not* a beginners guitar kit
if you want one of those buy a Saga strat kit.
As for the Roman kit, it's nice, no nicer than the Rogers and it is extremly overpriced just like all of Romans stuff, I build complete guitars for what that kit costs it's ridiculas to even consider spending $1000 on a kit that guy is nuts.
Rol.

btw it also is not Eds 5150 body or peghead shape nor is it even a Kramer body and peghead shape it's his (romans) J-Frog just fyi

[/QUOTE]Hi,

They are drilled holes about 1\8" so you can choose either to make them for bushing or woodscrew type posts, I like the bushing type much much better, I only used the woodscrew type for the replicas
