I want this someday! The righty version has different types of necks as far as wood goes. How much of a difference in sound, if any, does that make? Maple and Rosewood are the neck choices. Thanks!
If you're talking about finger boards, rose wood and maple are very different.
Rosewood is much warmer sounding, without as much top end or "high end".
Maple has a more well defined top end sound but not as warm as rosewood. It seems to have a little more cut to the notes though. The frets play a part in the sound too. I used rosewood necks for a long time, but for the last 10 years or so have preferred maple necks. This is something that you could debate for weeks with out any 2 answers being exactly alike.
I think this is a lefty version of what Mikey used on the RHRN video. I like the sound he had, but of course it's not just the guitar. The acoustics with the guitar imply the given sound also. But as far as bass goes, I'm not picky. To me, bass is bass. That's what my ear tells me. A 6-string electric is way different, though. But anyway, just thought I'd get an opinion. Thanx.
