You bet your ass I can. Aside from the lack of quality control the Korean model has, such as sloppy paint jobs and poor setups(which I won't go into detail right now because I've done it so much) there is also major differences in hardware.

The tremolo unit on the Korean model appears to be made of a cheaper metal, and the knife edges are cut and shaped differently. I found it's operation extremely stiff compared to a USA Special.

Now for the sonic qualities. Overall I don't rate it as a bad sounding guitar. It seemed obvious that they do indeed use the same pickups as a US Wolf when comparing the two. But obviously something as small as a bridge, and the quality of wood is going to make a difference pickups or not. The neck is satin finished, not oil finished, and I don't believe they use the same quality of maple, which is apparent. The neck didn't feel bad, but I wouldn't take it over a US Special.

I'll take a US Special over a KOR model any day of the week. I think it's main appeal is aesthetic, and truth be known, those quilt maple tops and the dye jobs on them are not as striking or as attractive as a Wolf Special Flametop, or Wolfgang Standard. But to each his own I say...
    FUCK THE DUMB SHIT!!!!

Thanks! That helped out a lot with my decision.
