Hey guys, i've got a few stomp boxes and i'm looking to get the best possible sound so i was wondering if you guys could give me some help with the order i should set these effects up. I've got: a Y.Malmsteen DOD Overdrive pedal, a Boss Distortion pedal, Boss Flanger, Ibanez Chorus, Ibanez Delay/Echo, Boss Blues Driver, and a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah pedal. Any suggestions would be great!

Below is the configuration I used to use:

Guitar >> Dunlop Wha >> Boss Metal Zone 2 Distortion >> MXR Phaser >> Amp (Chorus already on the amp)

I am fooling around with taking the Metal Zone out of the link and using the amp distortion. I have a Fender Ultimate Chorus, so there are two channels in the first place: Once clean, and one dirty, via a foot switch. And the chorus plays on both channels.
I would also recommend you choose between your Malmsteen Overdrive, Boss Distortion, and Blues Driver since they all do the same thing essentially.

el_jalepeno, have you tried the metal zone as your last effect and the wah just before or after it?

Not dead last. If the wha is after the metal zone effect, you can't tell the sweep because it gets too muddy. If the wha is before, then it generates a sweet sweep of highs and lows. My biggest problem with the MT2 is that it's just too distorted. I really like the thick stereo sound it produces with a deep tone on the lows, and high pitched squeels on the highs, but it gets so garbled... And I really like the sustain it provides, which I can't seem to get with the amp distortion. I'll spend some time rearranging them tomorrow putting the Metal Zone dead last and see what I can shovel. Thanks for the advice.

This is what I am doing

guitar->Boss Flanger->MXR-90->Boss Delay DM-3->5150II preamp->in the effects loop G-Major->Sonic Maximizer 362->back to the amp.

I just put the patch in for the G-major today for the equalizer so I am still messing around with it.

I'm gonna have to disagree with one of the pedals....

If you are looking to get that VH1 phase you should put your phase 90 first. Especially if you have the MXR script logo. Putting it first in the loop seems to make the phase more subtle,which is what was great about the first album.

DO NOT! put your phaser after you eq,you'll totally ruin the VH phase effect(if thats what your shooting for).
