I can't give you any advise on a traditional amp like that because I've never been in the market for one. But you may want to consider a Line 6 POD. Lots of good tones, it's small, has a headphone jack, can go to an external cab or through a PA. That's what I use for practicing, since I can't use my 5150-II's in my apartment. You could probably pick one up pretty cheap on ebay.

ok you gonna laugh but www.musicyo.com has a 10 watt tube Electar for $109 (I think), my bud brought one over the other day and I was really pleased at the sound that thing had, perfect for practice or a small apartment.

    Any suggestons ?
    Come over to my apartment.

Bring all of your guitars and put them in my closet.

We'll drive over to my local music stores and come out empty handed.

You can go home. I'll watch over the guitars.

If you don't mind a solid stater, and dig stereo chorus...and still want an amp that can have gain at low and hi volumes(and still get pretty loud), has a headphone jack and verb, you might check out the Rocktron R50C.

I've had one for a while now and it has fairly good dynamics for a solid stater and the stereo chorus is pretty killer. Granted that you have a decent guitar, it's one I'd definitely check out...

</font>[/QUOTE]The Tube 10 sounds pretty damn good through 4x12 or 2x12 cab with Greenbacks. I keep wanting to get another one of those to convert to a head and do some mods on it. Particularly I want to try a KT66 power tube in it.

I just traded a 12-string Takamine for a Crate Vintage Club 20R. It sounds UNREAL. Very warm tone at low volumes and I didn't even crack it past about 25% on the gain and then it really wakes up. I had been using a little Peavey Rage 158 Transtube deal for practice and this little Crate is about the same size dimensionaly but the sound... WHOA!!! My wife was ticked that I got rid of the Tak until I plugged in the crate. Even she noticed a huge differrence in the tone, especially at lower volumes.

All that to say this... I don't think you could go wrong w/ a crate.

You liked the Crate over the Peavey? I know it's a different model, but I'd put my Transtube 112 against a Crate any day
