Hi all, I though I'd share a little noise with fellow guitar fans. I had one song last week that some may have checked out in another thread, but there are two more online now.

Your feedback is welcome!

Hey CC, I heard the new tunes man.

Aeolian reminded me of a futuristic "House of the Rising Sun."

Dude, let me know when you get some drums behind these riffs.

If you want you can check out some of my shit at mp3.com/TAR57

Thanks, Mighty!

I'll go over to check out your samples shortly and will let you know.

I've been trying to work with drum tracks that I loop using ProTools, but it's easier said than done and I'm not ready to upload that stuff until it sounds sharp.

I'm trying to pin down a very flaky friend of mine who's a drummer (surprised?) and always says we should jam. He's got a really nice home recording studio all mic'ed up and and ready to go. It's just a matter of time before we finally hook up and try to make noise.

The Aeolian thing isn't much more than a improvised scale exercise. I liked how it turned out and decided to save it for upload.
I recommend anyone who wants to work their licks and learn how to better move over the entire neck to do just that: Simply record a rythm track, play it back in a loop and play your scales up, down, forward, backward and sideways until you're blue in the face.
I know I have ways to go but this kind of exercise is fun and has improved my playing and my improvisation a great deal over the past year. I hope I can someday put all these little pieces together and play real music.

Sorry for the long post, it feels good to get feedback from other players.

Mister TheMightyCopenHalenII, you shred!

Emerald Water: has a Satriani influence. Great stuff! Amazing what drums can do. I really have to get this drum thing going...

Clear: has a good “liquid” guitar line that’s mixed with the heavier crunchy rhythm. Sounds cool!

Cop a Feel: good meaty rhythm, powerfull and upbeat song.

Glimpse: is probably my favorite song. I like it’s mood.

Turtle Roams: very upbeat and pretty fastpaced. Boy, do I have a lot of woodsheddin’ to do before I can get there! Ah ah ah!

Well hey, thanks CC, but I still have much to progress on.

What I'm really trying to work on now is mastering. I have an actual Bass now, but when I mix it with the cans it sounds good. Then I play it back through the stereo, and the bass is too much on the low end, and not obviously not mixed good at all. I've thought about getting some decent monitors, but that is going to have to wait.
