If you're a "Volume Knob Whore" when your driving in your car like I am, then this topic is for you. I feel like I turn the volume up or down more than I turn the wheel sometimes! I always turn the volume way up in anticipation to a part of song I like. Sound familiar?

Anyway, that was my segway to my topic....

What song moment(s), (for lack of a better word) provides your favorite Eddie tone?

I realize this are very hard to explain/pinpoint, but give it a shot.

Here are some my personal favorites in random order.
1. First two chords of RWTD
2. Unchained Riff
3. Intro to ATBL
4. D power chord after the "This is
Home..." line in Mean Street
5. Intro to the "Beat It" solo
6. Outro rhythm guitar in "Drop Dead Legs"

This list can go on forever, but I'd like to hear some of your thoughts.
Chris

Yes! I always loved that one too. I always thought it sounded kinda wet (for a lack of a better term) and just slices the ears.

Here are a couple of others...

1. The middle breakdown part of Lighting up the Sky. "OOh mamma ....
2. The guitar behind "Feel my heart beat..." of Romeo Delight.
3. The part of Loss of Control before the solo when Ed's flange effect is going back and forth between left and right.
4. Dave's scream after the solo in "On Fire" (I laugh every time I hear that)
5. The "horse" noise at the start of Good Enough
6. The tapped run after the solo in No Good

My favourites:

1. the slow section of the Panama solo when he rolls the volume off a bit

2. 316 studio version

3. intro to "Me Wise Magic"

4. the tone on "You Really Got Me" and "Feel Your Love Tonight"

5. The outro to "Fire In The Hole"

6. The BIG finale in the Live RHRN video (not the CD) after "Top Of The World" when all the fireworks are going off and Ed is just going off in the background - why the fuck didn't they put that whole thing on the CD???!!!

7. the distorted bass on "Spanked"

There are more but I can't think of 'em

I've always loved the groove and sparkle to the outro of Cabo Wabo, as the song rides out. Alex switches the bass drum hits around and Ed is chording on the 12-string. Beautiful.

If you like cool, rock music, check out REVERY. We've put out two albums, and an EP. We were signed back in '06 and toured the US (our single Popstar Wedding was all over the radio back then). Our latest album, Adora De Phonic is available on Itunes, Amazon, etc.
