well I'm bias becuase I help design the thing but for the $$ you can get a better guitar with the hardware it has, the parts alone will cost you the $700 remember these are real Floyds not licenced copies but real ones made in the shaller factory, real shaller tuners, I have had the finish off of one and the wood is AAA quality,
    the ones that I have played sounded and played excellent, the only problem I have seen with them is they have the pickup set to low, *but* the poles on the pickup are adjustable and it's compensated for from the factory, they are supposedly changing the pickup height so the poles can stay in the normal positions.
    other than that there is a review of it here

    I am also looking to buy one of these 1984 re-issues. How are the pickups in this thing? Am I better off buying some PAF Pros to put in it or are the stock pickups good enough?

    I would love to own one of these, think Ed would sue my ass if I put black and white tape stripes on the red one

    Heh heh... You may prefer to start with the white one, and stripe it... Assuming you're trying to get Ed's panties in a wad

I also really enjoy the way that Kramer plays, the flat neck is really comfortable. I wouldn't think there would be a problem if a guy did that to his own guitar, its not like I would try to distribute it.

You could use tape, but I like the look of the paint myself...

    Don't forget that it also comes in a "sealer coat" finish to allow you to paint it without having to stip it first.

    I have one and I think it plays great!

    version for those who want to paint it, the white would have to be sanded down and prepped really really well for the paint to stick to the gloss it's a 50\50 crap shoot for someone who doesn't or hasn't done it a lot. so if your gonna paint them get the sealer coat version.

    So is the musicyo asking price worth it for one of these? I've heard people complaining about how Ed built this guitar in the 80's for around 200-300 bucks.

    </font>
What's the headstock like on the sealer coat version? Do you just get a Kramer decal you can add later?

    That's what I was wondering too when I first heard that there was going to be a sealer version, but saw the logos on the other ones...
