I was gonna get a POD then found the RP2000 at a cheaper price. Read good reviews about it, so picked it up and have been very happy with it. I know there's been discussion of amp modelers vs. real thing...I won't go there, but just say the sounds and effects on this are very good, and the fact that there's an expression pedal built-in that can be assigned for various functions (wah, volume, whammy, etc.) made me choose this over the POD also. It's built solid enough to use the switches as "stomp boxes" too. I uploaded a sample file in my folder on Freedrive (BTW, did anyone hear this before Homeunit cleaned out the space?) These can be found for about the same price as PODs on ebay. A lot of bang for the buck. The only bummer I had with this was losing my custom presets when I upgraded the latest firmware chip.

Dude, sorry about deleting your stuff

I was thinking of getting one of those to use as a controller for my POD, as well as use the effects, because I also heard they were quite good! The expression pedal seems cool for wha/volume/whammy effects!

Kpl can you re-upload your stuff again?

    No worries Home-

I just downloaded it and it plays back fine.

The Whammy is a blast to mess around with.

If there's still problems, I'll try uploading again....

I use to own a DT???? back in the day, I don't remember what it was but all I could remember was that it was hard to program and it didn't feel comfortable to me.

I would of just rather of hooked right into an amp and let my fingers do the talkin' with the help of a chorus and a flange, which is all I really need, to let my fingers do the talkin'.

Is this one of your secret test HU? If so I did respond.

Digitech made a rackmount model a few years ago that was really nice. The front was chromed, and it has a tube in it, but I can't remember what it's called. Before I had my marshall modded I used it in front of my amps and it sounded great. We were doing a lot of Satriani stuff at the time and it captured the sound really well. I'm gonna try out an RP2000, now that you mentioned it. I know my local music store has one, and I'm so anal I have to try every effect I hear about..lol
