    What do you think? How many "Watts of Power"
    Ed uses a night at each venue?

    Out of all the full stacks that are on the
    stage which is like 10-13(just to fill the
    stage up) I think he only uses maybe 3 of
    them for a combined wattage of 300 watts.
    That's a little high to I think.

    Ed's 5150's are used as real exspensive preamps. He runs them through a power amp which I believe is 100watts

    I could be wrong, but I think his H&H power amps are 800 watt amps. Of course, 800 watts means tons of power, but more importantly a lot of headroom and clarity. Watt don't automatically translate to loudness. I did read once that the 1984 VH show used a total of 110,000 watts of power (lights, sound, etc). Roth described it as "enough power to throw a VW twelve city blocks!"
