Did Roth play guitar in 'Could this be magic'. Because the songs sounds like a duet, than Eddie doing another acoustic track its too perfect. Plus I heard that Roth can play the guitar.

No, It was all Ed. the story goes that Ed was kinda nervous about playing slide 'cause he'd never done it before the band told hey man don't worry about it just wing it and it turned out great.

I don't know if Roth actually played on any of the albums, but he did play the intro for Ice Cream Man (kinda) in the old days.

When I saw the Dave & Sam show this summer, I couldn't believe how much better Dave played that intro compared to all the old bootlegs I've heard.

While his voice may not be what it was 20 years ago, he is a much better guitarist than he was back then...even if it's only on one song.

Yes, Roth did play on CTBM?. He played the rhythm part behind Edward's slide work. Dave also played acoustic on Ice Cream man and the intro to The Full Bug.

Yes Dave is playing the rhythm guitar on "Could This Be Magic?", like Flea said. Eddie only does the slide guitar. Eddie's in the left speaker, Dave's on the right.

And yes Dave is playing the acoustic guitar on the intro to "Ice Cream Man" on VH1, BUT the "Full Bug" intro IS NOT Dave, that is Eddie.

I stand corrected then. A colleague of mine at work told me once that Dave was actually a damn good guitarist himself so I can believe that's him on CTBM?

He actually played on 3 or 4 tunes during the his stint with the band. Not just the guitar, either.

No actually he doesn't play the intro to Full Bug. Ed plays it all. They have only recorded three songs with Dave playing. Ice Cream Man, CTBM...and does anyone remember the other? I'll give you a hint, it's a bootleg.

It's not dude, believe me. Dave is NOT playing that intro, it's Ed. I'll put up any amount of money you want. Go do a little research.

HOP I'm guessing, but I'm gonna say "Angel Eyes."

Yeah but that's not really a song that VH did.
