As soon as I can find my G/D Lee Oskar harmonica I'll chip in...
HERE AND GONE by Haylen Beck (Stuart Neville writing as...) - "It doesn't get better than this." - Lee Child, "Highly recommended." - Harlan Coben, "Cancel all your plans and settle in for the ride." - Ruth Ware, "This is a book that lives up to the buzz." - Alafair Burke

    Cool, Rols!
I like your pings all over your improv—lots of pinched harmonics. These are one of my favorite expression tools too. Must come from Billy Gibbons' influence perhaps...

Let me download the backtrack and see what I can come up with at home. I'll probably be able to post something over the weekend or early next week.

    Keep shreddin'
My first time in the spotlight was from a helicopter.

It took me a while to find that damn harmonica, but here it is. I took three solos on this. The first is a slide solo on a customised Squier Bullet tuned to open D. The second is the harmonica - D is an awkward key, because a high G played cross-harp in D is too shrill and a low G is too muddy. On either it's hard to control bends and vibrato, so my solo isn't great. The last solo is my trusty tele with a Fender Bassman kind of sound. I found this piece tricky to play over in general because of the 10 bar cycle which stopped me relying on my old blues licks so much, but it's never a bad thing for a tune to make you work hard.
