Hi guys. I have an old fender squire strat and i love its small neck and string spacing, but the pickups are noisy and dont pack and crunch. I have a wolfgang special and i love its pickups. Is there any way i can find those pickups seperate and buy them, if not what pickup sounds the closet to the one in the wolfgangs. I have a mesa boogie triple rectifier so i want to use the most gain out of as pssible thanks!!!!

    How old is your squire?
The older ones used anything from alder to poplar to basswood, and later, plywood.
Your chances of getting wolf p/u's are best on ebay, and as far as recommending which pickup sounds the same, your body wood and bridge aren't like a wolf so that's hard to say.
Even if you took the p/u's out of your wolf and put them into your squire they wouldn't sound quite the same.
You'll have to experiment a bit to get the sound you like.

The Hot Rails are good pickups, but I have found a new pickup from DiMarzio that is hotter than the Hot Rails. It is called a DiMarzio Chopper, and it is absolutely awesome. It will amaze you that someting that size can produce that much sound. I put one in a Slammer strat that I got to put a GK2A pickup on. The pickups in the Slammer sucked(of course) so I needed something that sounded decent for when I switched from my Roland GR-33 to my guitar. It made that piece of shit Hamer knockoff sound like an old USA Jackson.
