Has anyone had this done to any of their instruments?

I know it requires removal of the nut, and possibly some other shit.

But if anyone has had it done, what's their opinion on it...

I have heard of no one that has done it other than a pro (EVH, Vai , Satch) etc etc but my theory is if it was really really good everyone would have it by now, my guess is that the changes are so minimal in intonation that no one even hears it.

I own a guitar with the Feiten system (an Anderson). All Andersons come with it - I didn't have it added. I feel that, yeah, it's an improvement. When you tune it up right, you notice a difference, especially higher up the neck. But, to be honest, it's not enough of a difference that it would be a determining factor in whether or not I bought a particular guitar, and I doubt I would pay to have a non-BF guitar retrofitted. If you take any good guitar, have it set up properly, and tuned up properly, that's really all you need, IMO. As far as the tuning thing goes, check out EJ's instructional videos (can't remember which one, offhand) where he goes into detail about how he tunes up. Very useful and interesting stuff.

i think most of all washburn guitars are fittet with the buzz feiten system and i can hear the difference! the intonation is very clean, i tryed the p4 model, you may tryed it first before you customize your guitar.
