I have the original POD 2.3. This new POD XT looks pretty cool. Anyone try it?

Go to the www.line6.com and check out the POD XT sound samples they have online. O

One of the amp models offered on the POD XT is called Plexi Variac Marshall Variac, or something like that. I 'll let you guess what kind of tone it has. (Here's a clue: Where were you in 1978?)

Oh by the way, the name of the mp3 file attached to this amp model is Eruption....

I was actually quite impressed with the tones they had. I might ACTUALLY look into getting this thing.

I have just been talking to a lady who works in the best guitar shop in the UK.

She was raving about it for about 10 minutes. She expects lots of the POD 2.0s to be coming back in part exchange for this thing.

She says, "It's 50% better than the POD 2.0. It's a must have. People are coming in and buying this thing where they can easily afford 2,500 of recording gear. It's just fantastic ! It's expensive at 369, but then the POD 2.0 was 289 when it came out 2 years ago, and now is 199. It was still 269 6 months ago. It's got so much more to it, with mic position modelling as well !"

I'm going up there soon to check it out when I get the jack plug on my Wolfgang sorted out.
