both...anything he did on keys up through 1984 was analog, digital was just starting to hit big then. those were Oberheims on 1984, Jump, I'll Wait. there's some Electro-Harmonix Micro Synth earlier than that, and Wurlitzer electric piano on And The Cradle Will Rock.

from 5150 forward, it's a mix of analog and digital. for the 5150 tour it was still the old-school Oberheims, and the ultimate (at the time) in digital tech, the Kurzweil 250. OU812 had Roland D-50, Yamaha DX7 II and TX modules, along with the Oberheim on Feels So Good...don't forget about the ultimate "analog" keys, the Steinway pianos...i also recall seeing an article in a Peavey dealer mag that showed Ed using Peavey keyboards and sample players in the 90's...

You had Moog on Diver Down and I believe on Sunday Afternoon In the Park...

The two Oberheims that I know he used were his Oberheim OB-8 and OB-XA...

I think he used a Fairlight on "Inside" and maybe a Prophet at one time...

Mini Moog through Echoplex on "Dancing in the Streets". "Sunday Afternoon" was ElectroHarmonix's plastic and cardboard-made single VCO Mini Synth.
