I have to agree with you guys on the Pod. You can get some good sounds out of this thing...I just got one like a week or two ago and am still tweaking with it. But I'm digging it so far. I like the two Soldano models...and the Roland JC120 model.

Digital Modeling amps. They make the most sense when you want more than 3 major sounds.

Hey Steely, what type of amp are you using with your P.O.D ? Also, do you use your P.O.D switched in the "amp" position or "direct" ? THANKS !

    van heflin...

I haven't been using my Pod with an amp...I'm pretty satisfied with my amp how it is. I mainly got it to use for direct recording and with headphones as to not bother the hell out of my roomates. Sorry I can't help! Maybe check the reviews on harmonycentral.com? Or maybe someone else here has been using it with an amp?

homeunit, I didn't ask if Ty's POD was modded, but I did have a few good conversations with dave his guitar tech. I would think that it was pretty much a stock piece, that he programmed to his liking. He's really particular. One night in Charleston, SC, his rig went down and he was freaking out. I asked Jay the soundman if he though I should go to our van and get one of my Marshalls (a modded one with major gain) for him to use. Jay said, yeah, but he'd never use it. He's way too particular.

By the way, I just got a POD version 2.0 and it really does sound incredible. I'm using it for headphone practice, and it's got alot of great tones in it!
