From MelodicRock and the official David Coverdale website...

WHITESNAKE 2003 - CONFIRMED LINE-UP DETAILS:
Whitesnake's 2003 touring line-up has been finalized and confirmed. The band will undertake an extensive tour, starting towards the end of January, taking in North America, Europe, Scandinavia and the UK. The tour is still being put in place, but dates for the first leg should be available within a week.
The line-up is:
David Coverdale - Lead Vocals - Whitesnake, Coverdale/Page, Deep Purple - whitesnake.com
Tommy Aldridge - Drums - Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, Thin Lizzy www.tommyaldridge.com
Doug Aldrich - Guitar/Vocals - Dio, Lion, Burning Rain - www.dougaldrich.com & burningrain.net
Reb Beach - Guitar/Vocals - Winger, Alice Cooper, Dokken - www.rebbeach.com
Marco Mendoza - Bass/Vocals - Ted Nugent, Blue Murder, Thin Lizzy - www.marcomendoza.com
Timothy Drury - Keyboards/Vocals - Eagles, Don Henley

For those unfamiliar with the band, guitarist Doug Aldrich most recently featured as lead guitarist and co-writer on the current Dio album Killing The Dragon.
Doug also has his own band Burning Rain, who have recorded two studio albums, released by Z Records in Europe and Pony Canyon in Japan. Sound samples can be heard by clicking on the CD covers below.
Reb Beach is famous for his role in Winger, but in recent years has also recorded and album with Dokken titled Erase The Slate. This past summer was spent touring with the reformed Winger.
Reb recorded a solo album titled Masquerade in 2001, released in Japan initially and in Europe via Frontiers Records earlier this year. Click on the album cover for sound samples.
Timothy Drury has spent many years touring and working with Don Henley and the Eagles and has released his first self-titled solo album.
Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge have both been touring extensively with John Sykes and Scott Gorham in Thin Lizzy for the last few years. A live album One Night Only was released in 2000. Aldridge returns to Whitesnake for the first time after recording and touring in support of the Slip Of The Tongue album.

Two dates for the tour, which also includes Dokken and the Scorpions, have been announced already - Friday 01/31/03 West Palm Beach, FL Coral Sky Amphitheatre and Sunday 02/02/03 Tampa, FL St. Pete Times Forum

With the rhythm section of Thin Lizzy moving to Whitesnake, it could be presumed activity in that camp would quite down. But the word is that Lizzy will be on the road again in 2003 and should also include Europe in their plans. A line up is yet to be determined.
Also yet to be determined is the line up of tour mates Dokken. The band will comprise of Don Dokken, Mick Brown and Barry Sparks, with the guitarist spot to be announced shortly. It was most recently filled by John Norum and then Alex DeRosso.
Doesn't sound too bad. I'll see them down the road next year.

Reb Beach is a fine player and all, but if John Sykes ain't part of it, I ain't interested.

Well... first of all, David Coverdale IS Whitesnake and has always been. Secondly, there apparently have been negotiations with Sykes but those didn't work out in the end. Looks like John wants to rather tour with another Thin Lizzy than reunite with David.

Rockin'! Reb Beach is one of my favorite guitarists and he is WAY underrated. Listen to Dokken's "Live From The Sun" CD/DVD...He rips! The man is a precise player and a great songwriter. I'd like to hear them!
