The Who is one of those bands that I love many of their songs but I don't have any of their albums. I should get a greatest hits compilation, though.

Pinball Wizard
My Generation
Won't Get Fooled Again
Baba O'Riley
Going Mobile
Magic Bus
Substitute
The Seeker
Who Are You

The Who's album work can be hit-or-miss. A greatest hits disc is always a good buy. That being said, you just can't go wrong with any of these albums:

Tommy
Who's Next (one of the best ever rock albums)
Quadrophenia

Other than these albums, stick with GH collections.

I've never really listened to the Who that much either, but I've always heard that "Live at Leeds" is one of the greatest live albums ever. I was going to get that cd "My Generation-The Best of The Who". I've always liked "Teenage Wasteland" if that's the name of the song.

Actually it's called Baba O'Reily, the first cut off the classic "Who's Next" disc.

That new double-disc best of that just came out looks pretty damn good. I think it's like 36 songs total! I think it has just about all of their hits too. I also don't have any of their albums, but I just may pick this one up this weekend.

Actually, can't forget the song "My Wife" off "Who's Next" lead vocals by John~

Yeah, someone earlier mentioned the hit or miss nature of some of The Who albums. That is kinda true actually. Though there are a few albums of theirs that I consider "Straight Through" and at the top of that list is the album "Who's Next"

That IS one of the greatest rock records EVER!!!
Start to finish amazing!!!

Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

Anyone ever see the Terence Stamp film "The Limey?" The movie opens with The Seeker playing, and it is absolutely perfect.

Rent it now!

Yeah--It's a great movie I think!

The Seeker is ALSO found in the movie "American Beauty" when Kevin Spacey's character goes jogging
