I'd go with the Stones for sure. Not only do I enjoy their music a lot better, but they're also getting pretty old, and the time to see them live is limited.

You make a valid point but let me say this, Springsteen ain't exactly a spring chicken himself. Who knows how many more tours he'll be out on. But alas, I'd have to go with the Stones my own damn self, though I do love all things Bruce!

Do you have The Rising? Do you like it? I was just checking out a Bruce site and in his most recent (available) setlist he played 10 songs from the new album.

I'm a Bruce fan, but that's too many, but only because I think The Rising is a very average album for him. Then again, I'm not familiar enough with his touring ways to know whether a US setlist is likely to be the same as one he'd use while touring internationally.

On the other hand, I'm really impressed with the Stones setlists I've seen throughout this tour. Great classics as always and some great lesser played tunes mixed in as well.

I'd pick the Stones personally.

I've got the rising, and I like it a lot.

I'm leaning towards the stones for the same reasons as most guys above.

Least theres some tours on. our dismal dollars kept most international acts away for the last year or so! Bruce has put this show off about 4 times already!!

Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

I'd see the Stones...You just can't beat all the tunage that Jagger and Richards have come up with over the years!
Bruce rules too; but for the money, I'd go with the Stones

I. Take out a small loan
II. Get a couple of extra tickets to the Rolling Stones
III. Pretend you're TicketMonster and sell the extra Rolling Stones tickets with the "appropriate" service charge and handling fees tacked on.
IV. Use the profit from that transaction to pay for your ticket to see the Boss!

Bruce doesn't do those extra-long marathon shows like he used to do, and the Stones have dug up some killer classics this time around. i'd say go to the Stones show...

Way I look at it, have you had the chance to see either of them before? if so, I would pick the one I hadn't. To me, the Stones are not the same band they used to be. If they still had their long-time lineup intact, I'd probably pick them. Bruce has the E-Street band intact again for this one, on the flip side. Springsteen I've seen before, and loved his shows.

I had my own dilemma over The Boss two weeks ago. Bud of mine that new I was a Jersy boy and a Bruuuuuce fan offered me a ticket for a show here for face value ($75). Problem is that being unemployed right now, $75 is like hitting the lottery when it comes to spare spending cash. Having to decline was like turning down sex.

Then, here I am leaving for a two-week trip to Cali this Friday, and I see an ad on TV for Tom Petty and Jackson Browne together on the very night I leave.
I had no idea that the show was even coming up - if I had, I probably would have changed the dates of my trip. Err...fuck "probably".
