Sorry, but I think The Doors suck. Talk about over-rated. A decent bar band coupled with a raving, drunk who tried spouting something profound doesn't add up to a classic band in my opinion. They were so popular because all the hippies were just as fucked up as the band was. Sorry if I offend, but I never saw what the fuss was all about.

Probably one of my faves of The Doors (and besides Light My Fire, the song that got me hooked) is 'Take It As It Comes' off their debut. Great catchy song, too bad it's not on any of their greatest hits. Almost a forgotten song by them.

Besides 'Take It As it Comes' I LOVE:

    Touch Me
    Riders on the Storm
    5 to 1
    Crystal Ship (GREAT SONG)

What do you guys think of the Doors storytellers show on VH1 this past weekend? Yeah, Scott Stapp from Creed and Scott Weiland from STP sounded great singing the songs, but to me, hey just aren't "The Doors" w/out Jim Morrison...

Nobody can replace a charismatic frontman like Jim. (and don't anybody say JUST LIKE VH, because the Doors were only playing a songs of old concert, whereas VH started fresh with Sam).

I thought Scott Stapp was awesome. I went to Woodstock 99, and Robbie Krieger came out with Creed for a few tunes. They did Riders on the Storm and Roadhouse Blues I believe. AMAZING. He's got a good voice, and kinda sounds like Jim when he belts out the Doors songs.
