Dev did play some shows in Australia a couple of months ago but I wasn't home to see him play.

Wow, I thought Townsend blew his voice out a few years ago and needed surgery and all that. That's cool that he's playing and rocking out still apparently.

i didnt hear about that........his voice is in mighty good shape these days.........the ocean machine album and the terria album are my two favourite albums of all time.........and thats saying a lot for me!

he is my hero.......a guitar god (although he doesnt make a big deal out of it, and only shows us glimpses of his guitar talents when he feels its neccessary) and a phenomonal songwriter/vocalist.......

im trying to remember here, i (think) this was all the songs he played.......the order isnt right, but come on, i was too starstruck

truth
velvet kevorkian
all hail the new flesh
oh my fucking god
OM (just the intro)
SYL
seventh wave
regulator
war
guitar solo (he swapped his explorer for a strat here......he is so fuckig ace!)
deep peace (just the solo in the middle)
earth day
mountain (just the first couple of minutes)
namaste
detox

he had to cut it short cause of a curfew, but he had been playing bad devil and kingdom as encrores for the other dates on the tour.....and occasionally far beyond metal (bringing a fan up to sing it)

Thanks for the info Chris. There is so many more great songs he could add to that setlist. Ocean Machine is also my favorite album of all time with Terria not far behind.

Apparently his next album will be a Strapping Young Lad album. Sweeeet!!!

He is apparently relasing another "Devin Townsend" album at the same time as the S.Y.L album
It is meant to be more of his lighter stuff, kinda in the vein of "Life" from the OM album. Plus it will have a few acoustic versions of some songs from his other albums.......

I cannot wait!
