I guess you'd have to call this an accidental assist. It's like I'm waving the flag for bands without even knowing it.

Seventh Son is a cool album, and that tour was the only time I ever saw Maiden live. Moonchild is great, so is Can I Play With Madness, and The Evil that Men Do. The Clairvoyant is one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs of all time, such a cool bass intro and then the guitar comes in, really cool. Infinite Dreams is probably my least favorite tune on the whole album. Totally awesome album cover, of course that's nothing new for Iron Maiden. Actually, there's a site on the net with IM wallpapers and I had one of that eras Eddie getting punched right through the head, but my wife found it too disturbing, so I got rid of it.

Personally, I think Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, and Powerslave are better albums. And Live After Death is one of the coolest live albums ever, especially now that it comes with the fourth LP side of tracks from Hammersmith.

Below is a link to a really cool Iron Maiden fan site. If you go on the album section on the left and click on Seventh Son, underneath the cover is something called "Lake Effect". Check it out, it's the album cover with the lake shimmering with Eddie's reflection.

Oh and Glenn... Infinite Dreams is actually my favourite song on that album.

It's not my favourite Iron Maiden song of all time, though. That honor goes to "Hallowed Be Thy Name" or "To Tame A Land".

Once I posted to this thread earlier, I pulled out 7th Son and listened to it again. Infinite Dreams is better than I remembered, especially near the end. And it's certainly better than The Prophecy, which I now think is my least favorite on that album. Great album.

And good call on Hallowed By Thy Name. That song is a monster, especially on Live After Death, where Adrian plays an awesome solo.

No prob on the link, glad you liked it.

My favorite Iron Maiden album is probably The Number Of The Beast.

Damn shame, man. The BNW tour was awesome, quite a few linksters checked that tour out. Broken Combs and I were at the same show in Buffalo. Spanish Doc check one out, who else went? It's never to late to come back, though!!! Pick up Brave New World, you won't be dissappointed.

This is pretty damn good record, although I still like "The Number Of The Beast," "Killers" and "Piece of Mind" better. Although it's a different sound than certainly the earlier stuff like "Killers" so I am taking that into account. To me, all the Maiden stuff after this album is largely forgettable until the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith on "Brave New World." "Seventh Son" really was their last great album for a long time.
