LED ZEPPELIN Management: No Reunion Tour Planned - Oct. 23, 2002

LED ZEPPELIN have denied newspaper reports that they are to reunite for a tour in 2003.

The group were set for a US tour with Jason Bonham substituting for his late father John Bonham on drums, said the Sunday Times.

The newspaper reported that Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones had patched up their differences at meetings of Plant and Page's management company, Trinifold.

But Trinifold partner Robert Rosenberg told BBC News Online the reports were "completely speculative."

"We don't know where these stories are coming from - certainly not from our office," said Mr. Rosenberg.

"At this point there is no tour, nor any plans for one, and no discussions have taken place about a tour."

Speculation about a LED ZEPPELIN reunion has been rife for years, and promoters have offered substantial sums to get the group to reform.

Guitarist Page and singer Plant have already toured together, but the band has not worked as an ensemble since the death of John Bonham in 1980, after a drinking binge.

And a spokeswoman for Robert Plant's agents MBC also dismissed the current rumors as "speculation".

The band's enduring popularity has been boosted by recent reissues of their classic albums and the work of a host of tribute bands.

I knew this was to good to be true, Plant doe not want to do any resembalance to LZ without Bonham. Plus I think except for a few Jimmy and Robert charity events or one-off's I don't think they will tour any longer. Plant is the big old up on this and always has been.

Damnit! I thought Jimmy doing one tour and Robert doing the next with The Who had convinced them to do this. I was picturing Pete Townsend hammering them every night with visions of how much money they could make with a "reunion" tour every 2-3 years.

Not surprised. Didn't believe it in the first place.

JASON BONHAM: I Was Not Approached About A LED ZEPPELIN Reunion - Oct. 29, 2002

Despite rampant rumors to the contrary, Jason Bonham, son of late LED ZEPPELIN drummer John Bonham, has denied that been contacted by Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, or John Paul Jones about participating in a reunion of the group in 2003.

"No. Not even approached," he told Allstar recently while on tour with Indiana rock band HEALING SIXES. "I spoke to Jimmy briefly before I came on tour. I was telling him what I was doing. I'm playing in England with some other friends of mine called the LONDON QUIREBOYS and he was just inquiring what I was up to and wishing me luck in what I was doing. So there was no word from there and I haven't spoken with Robert in quite a long time."

Asked if he would abandon his HEALING SIXES plans for a ZEPPELIN tour, Bonham responded, "Would I? If they asked me, of course. Anyone would look to play with them."

HEALING SIXES are touring North America in preparation for their "Enormosound" album release on Holland's Corazong Records.
