I flipped over to VH1 last night and they were replaying The Who's 9/11 benefit show......I don't know if it gets any better than the show they put on. The Who still rock harder than 90 percent of the bands out there today. Anyone else get to catch the show?!?!?

I caught it again last night. I had the chills during their whole set. I would guess that was one of Entwistle's last public appearances as well.

I just saw that concert last night as well and the Who's set was a highlight of the show....They still put on a hell of a show and Pete Townsend still looks damn cool playin guitar. Great set, great tribute.

I thought Billy Joel's set was very good as well and had an interesting choice of song with Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights go out on Broadway).
Gozer the Traveller will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldronaii the Traveller came as a very large and moving Torb. Then of course in the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him, that of a Sloar. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

Saw The Who this summer in Phily, they just rocked, plain and simple. One of the better concerts I've seen.

The Who is one of my favorite bands, but I was worried about that performance before it happened, considering Roger's voice hasnt been strong in a long time.

But after about 10 seconds I felt fine, they were incredible IMO, I don't know about anyone else, but it really picked me up and made me feel better considering what was going on at the time. My wife actually started crying after the 2nd tune, and she's only 22 years old, she's from New York and she's getting into The Who (because I love them), so I guess it's allowed.

I couldn't bring myself to go and see them live now since John died, I play bass and he's sort of a hero of mine. Almost like if something happened to Eddie, it would be no more Van Halen for me after that.

John was one cool dude. He made it look easy playing bass...he was so smooth. I closed my eyes and just listened to him play and I realized how great he was. He is sorely missed.

Hell yeah the WHO rocked tthat night!

Our classic rock station did an interview with Pete Townsend a few months ago and they asked him about the WHO'S Concert For New York preformance.

Pete said he felt ashamed after they played because he was having a good time on stage while people where there mourning for the love ones they had lost(Or something like that).

An absolute fantastic performance by a legendary band!!! 'Who Are You' sounded more powerful live then on record. The other songs that need no introduction were rockin. The band was certainly in a groove that night.

That whole show RAWKED. But the who really took the house down. I've never been in to them that much, but damn, they really stole it. What a set!

I was really digg'n Clapton and Guy too.

Ethridge pulled it off pretty well with the bad mic.

Mccartney was pretty weak, but still the man.

Elton John....what a fag. "I've always liked men in uniform" Geez.

How about Richard Greere? LMAO! He was introducing a video and talking about how "Oh I just hope we can take all this emotion and turn it into love and forgiveness blah blah blah instead of revenge blah blah" And proceeded to get his ass booed off the stage by a bunch of NY'rs. I was fuckin rollin'.

Good show.

After seein the Who in Tinley Park a couple of weeks ago, I believe they are truly one of the greats. They were plain fuckin awesome. Unbelievable. ITs all their old songs with a modern hard rock tone and vibe. Even if your not a big fan, check them out. Their incredible and you wont be disappointed. Pete still has the chopes, and Daltrey still has the voice. The Who ROCKS.
I am awesome
