I found the entire new Def Leppard album X available to download on WinMX!!! It isn't available in stores until July 30 but it's online now!

It's good, I like it much better than Euphoria and Slang.

Hell, I'll just try to go see them at wal-mart.

ON a serious note, its good to know that they are getting better again, it seemed like they were in a weird funk for a while.

and "for a while" being 10+ years

they lost what little respect I had left for them when they all but admited on VH1 Storytellers that they write cheesy music to get on the radio.

Well I downloaded the whole album. I like it but it is very mellow! There isn't any song on X that really rocks hard. But it's good, great production on it. If you don't like mid tempo songs or ballads you probably won't like this album much. My favorite song right now is Long Way To Go, it's a great ballad, awesome lyrics too!

I'll agree that"Slang" wasn't the Def Lep we've all come to know, but "Euphoria" was a pretty cool album. I'm glad I bought it.

I'm using KaZaA Lite, and so far I've snagged "Now", "Gravity", "Four Letter
Word", and "You're So Beautiful". "Now" is an awesome song, and my favorite
from the 4 I've heard. I'm still in the middle of loading "Love Don't Lie",
"Let Me Be The One", "Everyday", "Torn To Shreds", Scar", "Cry", "Girl Like
You", "Long, Long Way", and "Unbelievable".

I've previewed "Let Me...", "Everyday", and "Love Don't Lie", and everyone
be warned: this is a more mature Def Lep album. Those 3 songs are the
slowest, ballad-type I've heard so far. The first 4 I listed above are the
harder ones, but not too much harder. I really can't compare this to any
other Def Lep album. I'd say it's *maybe* reminiscent of "Euphoria", but a
little more guitar-oriented, and very heavy on the traditional Def Lep
harmonies. I listened to "Four Letter Word" again and the riff is comparable
to "Armageddon It", right down to a certain guitar part. The track "Gravity"
could probably be considered "Slang (the song, not the album) Pt. II".

You know, its people like you who force the greedy
record company lawsuits against file sharing companies. Good job!! I agree with you... musicians and record companies should'nt profit one bit from hard work!!

</font>
Yeah, I'll really lose some sleep over that last comment.

And, it's people like you, and the greedy record companies, that need to get a grip with reality. A file sharing system might be in danger of being shut down, but as soon as it is, there are 10 others waiting to take its place. It's something that will never die.

Welcome to the 21st century.

You do realize that they've used the same songwriters as "Backstreet Boys" and Aerosmith have been using......

LOL! I can't believe how mellow this album is, it's Rod Stewart mellow. I'm glad I downloaded this album for nothing instead of spending twenty bucks on it.

Def Leppard don't wanna get rocked anymore I guess.

It isn't bad though, great production on it anyway.

MelodiCrock gave this album 98 out of 100, and lauded it for its great production, and for the fact that it "is Def Leppard's most commercial release ever." Since when did over-production equal good production? And since when does an album by a (formerly) legendary hard rock band become better just because it's more radio-friendly? Based on this review, I knew I would be vastly underwhelmed by the album. I was.

Def Leppard is no more.

I saw that review and I couldn't believe it either! I usually agree with Melodicrock, but not this time. I would give this album a 60 out of a 100.

It's alright, but it is nothing special. Def Leppard aren't a great band anymore. After three medicore albums I think it's safe to say that.
