Here are some other long rock tunes. Album rock deejays of the '70s would throw these on the turntable whenever they needed an extended break (to use the bathroom, to smoke weed, or whatever):

    Arlo Guthrie - Alice's Restaurant Massacree - 18:20
    Rush - 2112 - 20:33
    Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - 17:05
    King Crimson - Lizard - 23:12
    Yes - Gates of Delirium - 21:55
Yes - Close To the Edge - 18:38
Yes - Revealing Science of God - Dance of the Dawn - 20:23
    Yes - Remembering - High the Memory - 20:35
Yes - Ancient - Giants Under the Sun - 18:37
Yes - Ritual - Nous Sommes du Soleil - 21:33

"Art Rock" groups like King Crimson and Yes also had several songs that were 8, 9, 10, 11+ minutes long.

I'm sure there are many I'm forgetting...

Compared to the songs already listed, 'Won't Get Fooled Again' (8:51) seems pretty short. Although, you won't find to many songs that kick ass from start to finish that's longer then 5 minutes.

On 11/19/97, Phish played a 17 min. version of "2001" and a 35 min. version of "Wolfman's Brother". Then a week or so later on 11/29/97, they played a 58 min. version of "Runaway Jim". This was during a period in 1997 when their guitarist Trey Anastasio was testing the limits of "how long can you really jam on one song?"

Of course, Phish is/was a jam band, so perhaps they don't count?
