AIC kicks some ass, they have a live album coming out in a couple of weeks and i'm sure it will be fucking cool.
Maybe this new release is a sign of good things to come......yeah right. If Layne could get control of himself we might have some new aic right now.

Anybody planning on checking this album out?

"Me and Jeff are going to go to the front gate and when you guys exit we're going to beat the fucking shit out of every barefoot person" Eddie Vedder (after fans were throwing their shoes on stage, hitting the band)

"Their aren't that many true music fans out there and the ones that are, are usually musicians"

One more thing, do any of you crazy bastards have the album that Layne did with Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, its called "Mad Season". PJ doesnt really unleash Mike on their albums anymore but on this record he goes crazy....pick it up it rocks.

Alice n' Chains are one of my favs ...
Best alblum(Dirt)Got my smokes signed by sean kinney(drummer) at a record release at tower records way back when. Cool guy and I love his rhytm!

Mad Season was cool!, Had their Live video and lost intrest because of a showoff sax player he could'nt play worth a shit! Minnesota is where layne met the bass player when layne was "heiatus" with AC. The drummer?, he was from the band screaming trees. Great alblum!

Ps ... Dirt was an alblum that had very very close similarities to Ed's style of playing

JC is the only motherfucker I know who can pull off VH unnintentionaly!:cool

I really dig the Alice in Chains stuff, I for one hope Layne gets his act together long enough to cut a cd.
I also love the Mad Season cd. Artficial Red, Lifeless Dead and I Don't Know Anything rule.
Nothing like Layne's upbeat lyrics to brighten a day.

Not a big AIC fan, but I bought Jar of Flies when it came out and it's awesome, great songs top to bottom.

I was just listening to Long Gone Day from the Mad Season album. Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees sings on that one I think. He also sings a song on the new Queens of the Stone Age album. Josh Homme from Queens was in the Screaming Trees a few years back.

AIC is awesome! To this day I still have the jar of flies poster on the wall. I wish Layne would get his act together so we could have another album.

One of my favorite bands, I still think their first album "Facelift" is their best work. I wish Layne could get his heroin-addicted ass together to do another record.

A cool album to check out is Jerry Cantrell's solo album BOGGY DEPOT. It's a mellow kind of album (not as mellow as Jar of Flies though). It takes a few listenings before it has you under it's spell.
