Sade made $26.2 million on her tour this year? I didn't even know she was still around. I saw her a long time ago. Pretty good tunes, not much for a show. I am glad to see that someone made more denero than the backstreet boys and LipSynch. 'yall heard Wierd Al's song "Which Backstreet Boy is Gay?" Al's best work to date.

FORD, weren't U2's ticket prices just about the highest on this list also, justifying the highest gross ??

I know you're a big U2 fan and I'm not trying to dog you, just trying to clear that issue up...

U2 was charging around $120 for the good seats on this tour, which is why I skipped it. I think it's completely ridiculous to pay $60 an hour to listen to music. Unfortunately, since the tour sold out every venue it was in, to my knowledge, they have no reason (except respect of their fans) to drop the prices next time. Garth Brooks was no doubt among the top 5 grossing tours in 1998 and he did it all with $25 tickets. And it was a Hell of a show too!

The band allows taping at their shows too.

    The Boston Americans (1901)
    The Boston Somersets (1902)
    The Boston Pilgrims (1903-1906)
The Boston Red Sox (1907-present) - Proof

The Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets whatever you want to call them, have NEVER displayed "SOX" anywhere on their caps, jerseys, or merchandise, therefore they shouldn't be referred to as such. However, the White Sox have used "SOX" since 1912.

The SOX are in Chicago...we just allow the Pilgrims/Americans/Somersets to use the name.

I've also seen that song credited to Bob Rivers/Twisted Radio and it's not theirs either. It's easy to tell a Weird Al parody, because they always sound exactly like Weird Al singing. That's his gig. He never tried to sound (vocally) like anybody else, though the music is usually very close to the original artist.

Twisted Radio parodies are usually easy to tell because of the quality of the impersonations. They don't do a half assed job like the parodies you hear on Howard Stern, Mush Limpdick, or most other radio shows that use parody songs. When these guys do it, it's sometimes so close to the real thing it's scary.

You can find most of their stuff here...
