I was just at the Tweeter Center Boston site and was just amazed as to how few concerts have been announced for this sumer so far.
It almost April 1st and there were only 5 shows on the calendar so far.
    Alan Jackson's Hickfest
    The Who/Robert Plant
Green Day/Blink 182 (aren't they the same band?)
Jimmy Buffet (goes on sale today)
    John Mellencamp.

    Whats with the holdup?

We have heard Rush, Fleetwood Mac, and many other top acts are supposed to be touring. Is the economy weighing heavily on these groups and if so, maybe there will be more "joint" tours.

To me, it's like a bunch of rock stars' schedules have finally gotten in synch with each others. Meaning, there are so many acts not doing anything right now, none of them have any plans of touring.

I know there are a lot of "proposed tours" floating around out there, but I think that in time, as summer approaches, you'll start seeing bands get more serious about their plans.

God bless people like Ozzy and the whole "80's hair band shows" who are letting us know to start saving our $$$ early. At least we know there are a few things we can count on this year.

Concert promoters are all holding their breath waiting to see what's gonna go down with this Sam and Dave Tour thing.
