I don't know if any of you have been checking in at the results thus far in VHLinks October poll, but something surprised me. More people find themselves listening to VH III then half the catalog.

I was not surprised to see that Fair Warning was the most listened to VH and VHI is second. Pleasently surprised to see that 5150 is #3 on that list.

Good call, it's very surprising to see III beating so many of the other albums, especially Van Halen II and WACF.

There's going to be hell to pay when DIF sees that III is beating out VH II.

Uh-oh! Well, I guess we're all "sheep" aren't we? Heaven forbid somebody enjoy Van Halen III (sarcasm mode). Eat that Roth heads! Beat out half the catalog! Sit on it and spin.

Dave is NOTHING without Van Halen.

God damn Vic, who pissed in your wheaties this morning?

What's with all the anti Roth shit?

Now.. about this VD III thing.....

Sounds like stuffed ballot boxes to me. Maybe the Bush campaign was practicing for election day?

Or maybe enough people who avoided VD III in 1998 decided to risk $5 at their used CD store (the one near my house still has the same 5 copies it had since March 1998 though)

I found myself listening to it more and more (III). Basically, with no new tunes on the way, I wanted to experience it in more detail since it only got about 4-5 listens the first week I bought it, then sat on the pines so to speak.

Just a theory to support this VH III voting trend.

i didn't wanted to buy VHIII.. after the split with hagar i actually stopped listening to VH for various reasons...
Then when i re-discovered my all time favorite band (mainly because i discovered VHlinks, VHvault, Vhnd and DLRarmy who gained my interest again) i wanted new material, so i bought VHIII.
I have to say it's a really good produced CD, it's very reflexive, introspective. It reminded me some thing of Pink Floyd.
I think this album is what Edward wanted to do, and it's a good CD.
So i have to say that I like it. OK it's not my favorite, maybe it's the worst album VH made (i love them all) but i like it

I'm actually not too surprised. Controversy pushes anything, and I can't think of a more controversial album among VH fans than 3.

Yeah Vic...that's the kind of shit that pisses people off and starts most of the shit around here. You and others provoke, and then get your panties in a bunch when we defend our side.
Personally I could give a good shit if someone is listening to VHIII more than VHII !!! That's their own poor music taste. Don't affect me either way. The whole point to all of this is...if everything after Roth was really as good as a lot of you claim that it is...there wouldn't be the arguments that we have. If it was better, we "Roth-heads" would not be "Roth-heads" and would agree with all the rest of you who think Roth was a piece of dirt. It kills you people because you know that Roth was and is and always will be the SHIT!!!

I think a lot of people are stimulated by the quality of discussion here and are giving the III album another shot to maybe see what Ed was driving at. Or, maybe not...LOL!

Oh, Blueeyed...I don't think VH's post-Roth success has anything to do with whether or not this argument would exist. "Roth-heads" would still be claiming Roth was the shit and a reunion is eminent regardless of who the vocalist was.

EAT ME BITCH!!!!! FUCK YOU AND THE HORSE YOUR MOTHER RODE IN ON!!

I wasn't here last week. I commented on it when i saw it. If you don't want people to reply to what you have to say...then don't fucking post on a public message board!!!!

Another perfect example of what I said...
you provoke and then get your panties in a bunch when someone defends their side.

If you can't handle it, then quit running your DICK-SUCKER!!!!!

Easy, there! Maybe "piss off" was a bit harsh but I patched things up with Spanish Doc and the rest last week and even APOLOGIZED for some of my comments! Chill, dude!
