Because of the negative attacks on Tom Scholz and the new CD, they closed the message board, I'm guessing thats what happened with the Pleasure Dome, but that was before my time. With all the rips on Eddie, Alex, Sam and Dave here, I guess its a good thing this board isn't run by the band or it wouldn't be open if they viewed it the way Scholz viewed the Boston board. Brad Delp's ex-wife posted there and had some not so nice things to say about Tom (after he was critical of the former band members in a letter), prior to that she was sharing stuff that we wouldnt have know, it would be like Val posting here I guess. I think the closing is interesting to due to the fact that Boston.org is a fan site but partially funded by Scholz. Any thoughts on this?

I like the new Boston CD. I never even knew that Boston had a message board though!

Incredible! It's amazing after you read Sholtz's letter what Boston is really about on the albums...

Well, they can always fuck their fans another way: after closing down their message boards, stop recording music and touring. Hmmmm. Deja vu, huh?

I found the Tom Scholz letter to be quite the interesting read! At least Tom spoke out on the Message Board issue, unlike Eddie and the gang. Plus, when your singer's ex-wife is giving you an online flaming, I can see how closing the boards would be an attractive option.

I've only heard 3 tunes off the new album. I was pretty unhappy with how they sounded at first, but they're growing on me. I'll always have a soft spot for harmonizers. I think I'll get to like it sooner than I did VH3. I figure it'll have to be better than the last one. Fran Cosmo has a great set of pipes, but now that they've got Delp back as well, it should sound fantastic (vocally at least)!

Hell, there's more info on Boston in Scholz's one letter than we've heard from Eddie in his entire life.

Also, the local rag here gave the new CD 1 star out of 4 in a review. Still, I 'll probably pick the thing up.

I had JUST heard the new Boston songs the other day. I did a web search this morning and found Boston.org . I was hoping it had a message board. Knowing Tom Sholtz is a technology geek, I figured it would have one. I didn't take the time to read his letter. I will.

Anywho, I like what I've heard so far. Should be an interesting cd at least.

I also appreciate artist like him and Tom Petty speaking out against Corporate America. People in this country really need to wise up about it. Little by little we're getting closer to that "Brave New World" Aldous Huxley warned us about....

Anywho part 2, I was surprized to see a woman in the band, but soon as I saw her picture, well, can't say I blame 'em.

Perhaps the board will return down the line "bigger & better than ever".

Regardless, the truth about the new Boston songs may hurt. I heard them on the radio the other day & they sound somewhat uninspired.
