Someone begs Dave Meniketti of Y & T fame to call Eddie and see about joining the band.
I thought the thread was kind of interesting and it was cool that Dave Meniketti himself actually replies to his message board.

Not to worry Angel, while Dave is good in his own right, Eddie could outstring him with both of his hands tied behind his back.

Sounds like both of you guys need some schooling. While Y & T were never huge, they did put out some awesome rock n roll in the early to mid 80's. Pretty much just a straight forward rock n roll with a blues twist kind of band. Their biggest commercial hit came in 1985 I believe with a song called "Summertime Girls". If you are interested in trying them out, they just put out something called "Ultimate Y&T" which should pretty much sum up most of their career. They have a song off their album "Contagious", called 'Kid Goes Crazy' which has often been compared to Van Halen in terms of style and attitude.

Y&T came out of the Bay Area and they were incredible...Definitely check them out!

Dave IS a fine guitarist...Ed fans will respect him. He's very good and has a great rock voice...Actually, he would have been a great match in Van Halen...

Check out 'Black Tiger' and 'In Rock We Trust'...two fine records...They were on A&M records back in the day...

Sacto bro...

Man, it's funny you mention these two records. I just won "Black Tiger" off ebay a week ago so I'm jacked about cranking that one up again. "In Rock We Trust" was my very first Y&T tape...I need to go find it now on CD...CHEAP! Have you seen the prices of OOP CD's lately? They're like $39.99 or upwards!!

I also am a big fan of the "Contagious" CD. That one came out in '87 and was like one of the best tapes I had to get me thru my senior year / Freshman year at college. I HIGHLY recommend "Contagious" for all you 80's rockers out there...it's got a GREAT vibe and there are some VH influences on there, but Y&T were always capable of doing their own thing.

The song "Black Tiger" is WAY cool! Very heavy and ominous...check it out people! You can even talk to Dave M. at his own message board...now THAT is a very cool thing! Here's the link:
