LIVING COLOUR! In my mind, they are one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. They got lumped into the whole "hair band" thing, but they couldn't have been more different. They should have a new album out sometime this year (Got any details for me FH?). Anyone else here a fan of this amazing band?

Cool band. I wonder if the singer still has the pipes he had yrs ago. Vernon Reid is a good guitar player. Hopefully they'll pass through my way but I doubt it (no big act comes to my town anymore)

I would imagine so. He's been performing in musicals and plays since they broke up.

That's awesome. Is Doug Wimbish the original or the latter day bassist? I can't remember and don't have my CD booklets here. I seem to remember the latter guy being a little more intricate.

Wimbish was the second guy. He is a pretty amazing player. In fact, all of the musicians who have ever played in that band are quite amazing.

Did you guys know that lead singer Corey Glover is Danny Glover's (Lethal Weapon) son?

Didn't like Reid's chromatic runs some of the time, but they rocked. Thought the first 2 albums were killer. Thought 'Stain" was pretty weak.

I always think of Living Colour when I see Platoon. It was on the other day. Muzz was better but Wimbish is aok. So bring 'em on! Anyone have that live EP Biscuits? If not, check on Kazaa they have it on there. Damn those boys rock.........Times up

I went to the opening show of the Living Colour Reunion Tour back in May 2001 in Portland. It was a killer show.

As for the bass dispute, Doug Wimbish is way more technically proficient than Muzz Skillings. He often plays a 6-string bass and has done all kinds of jam session work with many notable musicians.
