As a 31 year old VH fan I was wondering this. I have always tried to stay current with my musical taste. I was heavily into hair bands then grunge and now some new hardcore. I really like Disturbed and Saliva. Godsmack and Staind are local boys I've been following for a while, and I've even been getting into Linkin Park and Korn. What about everybody else?

Tantric and a little-known industrial band known as Apartment 26. The song "Backwards" is on the MI-2 soundtrack.

I like Godsmack and Sevendust a lot. Staind has grown on me recently. Disturbed's CD is pretty good too.

Sevendust is one of those bands that everytime I here them I ask myself why I haven't bought their CD. I'll have to get the new one. "Praise" rocks!

I'm hooked on the Tenascious D! I also just picked up Alien Ant Farm's "Anthology". It's kicking some major ass in my cd player right at this moment.....

Right now, I'm listening to a lot of Nickleback, Oleander, Alien Ant Farm, Incubus, Fuel, etc... I like the fact that a lot of the new bands seem to be focusing on melody and guitars more than in the recent past. Has anyone heard Saliva's acoustic version of "Your Disease"? It really kicks ass. He's actually singing the verses instead of rapping and it really gives it a down home, almost southern feel to it.

I've gone retro baby. 70's is where its AT Seriously

But todays stuff? Staind is about the best thing going out there for me right now. Pretty much the entire break the cycle album is great. I had their first album, lost it, now cant even remember its name, but it was just as good if not better. I've gone through a pretty good soundgarden kick. Nickleback has some good hooks. Sevendust is ok. Dont know where they really went, but days of the new is pretty good. Candlebox has some decent stuff.

Still, nobody has really "struck" me and made me a huge fan in a long time now. Most the stuff played on the local metal station right now just sucks ass imo. Fuckin hate it. The current spins going on right now dont appeal to me in the least.

Theres always the 70's stuff though

Hey, I'm 32 and fuck it, can't stand any of the new shit. To me "new" stuff is whatever reunion happens to be going on! Shit, Collective Soul is new to me!

Yeah, y'all can kill me, but the only "new" band I'm really into is Creed. What can I say? So shoot me.

Actually, every time I hear Days of the New (spelled right?) I think I should check out the discs, I just don't listen to enough radio to really get to know everything they do. Hell, they could be broken up now for all I know.

Incubus seems to interest me.....Loose the scratchin and it would be better....but nice melodies and good hooks
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett

Word on the street is Incubus is the neww groove. Not bad. I agree about the scratchin. It's ok w/ Linkin Park but out of place w/ Incubus.
