Freddie had his own style, and so did Queen. I remember buying Innuendo as my own tribute to the band, and found myself likeing most of it, in fact was cranking some of it out just last week.

Queen and Freddie created some music that could never be duplicated as far as the sound they made. Some of my favs : Hammer to Fall, Put out the Fire, One Vision, etc., etc.

I also did not know that E Carr from KISS died the same day. Leave it up to Glenn, you da man' !

Well... if you need an official Queen expert of this board... guess that's me then.

Course I know Fred died 10 years ago...

I have all their stuff, Queen and solo... even the big The Solo Collection Box Set.

I recently bought Queen's new We Will Rock You DVD and saw that he had died this month in 1991, so I thought I'd put it up here. The concert was great. Too bad they didn't make more tunes with Grand Master Mercury. They made some of the most recognizable songs in rock history(We Will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust).

Well... lemme see... I have 27 Queen albums and 11 Freddie Mercury albums (all official releases) in my collection.....

    I think that's quite a good output...

    or does anyone wanna disagree?!

I wish we could say Van Halen was even getting close to that, however.....

Not to hijack the thread, but I was over at the Billboard website and thought of this...

Ten years ago FUCK was sitting at 34 on the top 200 chart, down two places from the week before.

Five years ago BoV1 was sitting at 10 on the top 200 chart, down four places from the week before.

Taken in consideration with Freddie dying, funny how times change so drastically in just a short period of time.

Someone mentioned it in a thread about Stevie Ray Vaughn and the same holds true for Queen in that they've managed to still find material to release even after their deaths while Van Halen allegedly has "three albums worth of material" (Eddie) and "three knock the hands off the clock" songs (or something to that effect by Dave) and yet we've heard squat from them!
