i just listened to BRUTAL PLANET and i thought it was pretty good. ALICE only had imo one perfect record that being HEY STOOPID. as for bp
my favorite song was "pick up the bones". my least favorite song was "take it like a woman". the lyrics were typical coop, but the guitar could have been better. alice should have gotten ED to lay down some wicked riffs he ain't up to much these days.

Brutal Planet kicks ass! Easily one of the best releases of 2000. Fans of Alice have to pick this one up and fans of just good, hard rock record should pick this one up. "It's such a brutal planet, it's such an ugly world..."

Brutal Planet is a great album! I listen to it all of the time! My favorite songs on it are It's The Little Things, Gimme, Sanctuary and Brutal Planet.

It's The Little Things is my favorite song from it and Take It Like A Woman is my least favorite song from that album. I agree with you Topik, Hey Stoopid is Alice's best album.

I would say Brutal Planet is my second favorite album by Alice though, I really love that album! It's pretty dark though, Pick Up The Bones especially. I think Alice must be angry at the world or something.

I dunno about this one. I think it is a very hateful album. Alice seems to be going with the trend and I don't think the music is good enough for him. It's too much thrash and slash and not enough good songwriting. The guitar is weak. I can play all of those songs in a second. If you want a good Alice album that is overlooked, get "Constrictor." Kane Roberts is an excellent guitar player. I hope Alice will follow his heart instead of following the crowd. On BP, there's a few songs that are decent, but the lyrics ruin it all. They aren't like previous Alice efforts, lacking the tongue-in-cheek dark humor that we all love.

i thought the lyrics were good and ALICE's voice sounded good.
i agree the band was very MARYILYN MANSONish. i can think of much better guitar players i.e, SLASH, JOE SATRINI, MICK MARS, ED and KANE ROBERTS.
hey NOAVERAGEJOE, have you ever heard RAISE YOUR FIST AND YELL.
it's an darker album with better lyrics and a better band. i like the way he sings "brutal planet". he says his next record is gonna be a view of a better world. the thing about BP is it is ripped from the headlines. MM wishes he could write lyrics half as good. btw, doesn't KANE ROBERTS remind you of rambo.

I agree with Topik, that Raise Your Fist And Yell is awesome! I think it's a much better album than Constrictor, although that is a great album also.

I personally love the Alice's new sound, but I agree that he has lost some of his dark humor on it.

I have the whole Brutally Live album on CD. It's great to hear him play Go To Hell and it's Hot Tonight on it.

Topik, I have all of Alice's albums I believe. Although I downloaded a couple albums off of the net because they are hard to find in stores. I really like Da Da (lame album name though )

Alice is awesome!

What do you think of the song Freedom? I played that song for my friends recently and they didn't like it.
I think it's a awesome song.

I like all of Alice's albums Topik. I like both of those albums, You know there is a Demo version of the song Muscle Of Love that is great on the Boxed set.

When I want to listen to classic Alice I usually listen to the boxed set now, it has most of my favorites on the first two CD's.

When I got it, I gave my Greatest Hits album to my parents.

My Mom turned 18 when I'm Eighteen came out, is that cool or what? LOL!

Alice is awesome. I haven't heard his new album but my favorite older songs are Billion Dollar Babies, Muslce Of Love, and No More Mr. Nice Guy.

You know, I can't confess to being a huge Alice fan (I have Classiks and some day I'll probably get the Greatest Hits), but I can say my first "rock" song I ever liked was Hey Stoopid.

File that away for the next time you play Trivial Pursuit.
