I went to a Bare Naked Ladies concert (free tickets ), and heard them actually assert on stage that they're all about "rock and roll." I don't think so!! Sounded like a bunch of rap and pop to me! I can't wait until rock is back in style. By the way, I left early.

I hear ya. I've gotten pretty picky with my rock. I even left early from the kiss concert.

I've only got one BareNaked Ladies album, their first. It's when they were seriously young and goofy. I don't mind them, at least they don't take themselves too seriously.

There's a hilarious old clip I've seen of them. They're onstage and the singer is saying, "please back up people, we don't want anyone to get hurt here". Then the camera pans out and you see that there are literally only 5 people in the whole place.

Not to get too far off topic, but Ace is one of the reasons I left. His attitude was just "whatever, pay me" And he SUCKS as a guitar player. Sloppy, nasty chops that night.

I could never understand why the Bare Naked Ladies got so popular here in Canada, are they popular in the US??? I just don't think their music is that memorable or entertaining. Rock and Roll? Certainly not.

I'll Wait, the Barenaked Ladies have only recently become known in the U.S. with the release of their Stunt album.

As my fellow Canucks know, they have been popular here in Canada for ten years!

I saw them live a few years ago, and I thought they were great! They really put on a good show, and they are hilarious!

They have a bunch of songs that I like.

only recently have the BNL become popular in the states, but that's fine with me. only canadians get the BNL because we know about their first album, where they are just there to have a good time. you can't take them seriously, because they don't. recently, they've hit it big in the states, and we've almost totally forgotten about them. which sucks, because there are actually really awesome canadian bands (specifically, the tragically hip) that are huge here, but never made it in the states.
