I was amazed at Ace's guitar solo on "ALIVE" 2 "shock me"
I haven't been listening to it since Eruption was introduced to me.

They aint the best instrumentalists in Rock music but they influenced lots of people

If you want to hear some good guitar work, check out Ace's solo CD (the one when he was with KISS, not since then). No foolin'. It's a lot harder than anything KISS did. And "Rock-n-Roll all Night" gets a little too much radio exposure.

Yeah, but does the computer actually put the CDs in and take 'em out? Radio is such a sham, everyone playing what they're told - no rebels out there, no pirates...

Back in the mid-eighties, I did some volunteer work at a radio station in New Hampshire. One of the things they gave me was to clean up the rock blocks - they gave me this yellow legal pad with the rock blocks they were planning to play and asked me to go through and find dupes and replace 'em. I paid particular attention to the ones on Friday night/Saturday morning - midnight to eight - because that's when I worked my regular job, and I would plug in songs that they didn't normally play to see if the dj would play them. They frequently did, and on a couple of occasions I actually heard those songs at other times during the week which meant I had worked it into the rotation!
But anyway, radio is so disappointing - nowhere near what it could be...

The problem with these classic Rock stations is that once a song, i.e."Rock and Roll all Night", makes it on to the play list, it is played forever and ever. No variety from the band. For example "Jump" is on the play list around here. That's pretty much all you ever hear. I would like another tune from VH once in a while.

I am a little bit of a kiss fan. i tihnk thatrock and roll all night is overplayed. when you have great easy guitar songs like detriot rock city, and the guitarist outthere know how easy it is to play the opening, why do all we here is rock and roll all night. love gun. god gaverock and roll to you, hide your heart and others are just as good. I went to see kiss once in concert and although i did not like all there songs i givethem credit for the stage show they put on. I can now see why the kiss army has so many members and why they are willingto die for there band like any army is for there leader

"man you got to sweat or else you won't get far"- kiss

"it never too late to work 9 to 5" - kiss

"it's like a heart attack" - quiet riot

"if you smell what the rock is cooking" - dwayne johnson

KISS is okay in my book. Although, I prefer the older KISS music then the 'Forever' - type stuff.
They do put on a great show though!

Screw that, nothing wrong with a little KISS!
You just happened to pick the most OVERPLAYED song in their catalogue that's all.... Check out songs like "Shock Me" "Mr. Speed" "Love Her All I Can" "Nothin' To Lose" and then get back to me!....

Word around the Kiss campfire is that Paul Stanley is talking about a new record, produced by none other than Bob Ezrin.

    Stay tuned....
"There's a Japanese term called wabi-sabi, not wasabi, but wabi-sabi. It means an appreciation for the imperfect, the less than precision. The cowboy boots that you never polish because it's bad luck. That is completely wabi-sabi. Van Halen is that." - DLR 2002<br /><br />"Look! I can see their parachutes! They're ok..." - Tenshinhan, DragonBall Z
