Who do you guys like from the 80's? I got the idea from Yankee's thread, and thought it would be cool to put together some 80's mix discs, so who do you all like?

Faster Pussycat was always fun, and a little different.

Y&T had some great stuff.

Loverbody, Springfield, The Outfield, Corey Hart, The Bangles, Go Gos... lotsa fun stuff.

Funny Seenbad !!

Rainbow, Triumph, and April Wine come to mind, along with the other bands mentioned.

Plant had some good solo tunes early in the 80's.

The Crue......

How bout Night Ranger...they can be a lil yucky, but have some decent tunes that remind me of days past.........

Looks like some bands from the 70's are being mentioned. As far as the 80's go I like...
1. Men At Work
2. Asia
3. Dokken
4. Iron Maiden
5. U2
6. Ozzy
7. Queensryche
I'm sure I've got more but these are the only bands I can think of that released music in the 80's.

I love TONS of bands from the Eighties!!! There are some cool bands that came out in the early Nineties as well, before the awful grunge bands.

A lot of my favorites are Canadian! E.g. Kim Mitchell, Gowan, Lee Aaron, Colin James, Honeymoon Suite, Glass Tiger, Loverboy, David Wilcox, Allanah Myles, The Northern Pikes, Haywire, Triumph.

Then there are great bands like... Sammy Hagar, David Lee Roth, Extreme, Queensryche, Whitesnake, Damn Yankees, Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, HSAS, Skid Row, Heart, Motley Crue, Mr. Big, Scorpions, Genesis, Guns N'Roses, Def Leppard.

These bands aren't what I consider my favorites but I also like some songs by the bands... Men At Work, Mike + The Mechanics, Tears For Fears, Lita Ford, Jackl, White Lion, Poison, Vixen, Great White, Steve Perry, The Cult, Winger, Billy Idol, Twisted Sister, Talas, Warrant, Tesla, Night Ranger.

Two cool bands that i've been getting into lately are Blue Murder and Hardline. Blue Murder has John Sykes on guitar and Carmen Appice on drums.

Hardline has Neal Schon on guitar.

Yeah!! What Georgie said!

I'd also add Y&T, Black & Blue, Hurricane, Loudness, XYZ and non-makeup Kiss. This takes me back to Rikki Rachtman hosting the "Headbangers' Ball" on MTV! Awesome show...just a goof for a host!
