What do you think? Personally, I think their 1994 album with John Corabi MOTLEY CRUE far surpassed their previous and future efforts. Tommy's drumming was heavy and just plain phenomenal. Mick's guitar work smoked, especially on songs like "Dropping like Flies." I've practically worn down the third track "Hooligan's Holiday". It's a great cruising song. Plus, the ballad "Driftaway" was great. Can't say there really was a track I didn't like. Corabi was taking the band in a new darker, multi-faceted direction and I think it's a shame they got Vince back. (It's like the band was moving forward musically and stylistically and alot of people just didn't dig it. Where have I heard that before? -Don't get me wrong though, there's a big difference between Dave and Vince. I'm all for Dave coming back. While Vince is a creature of the 80s who hasn't done real well with moving forward i.e. Generation Swine, Dave has matured musically and is right on track with VH. Take his last album. Take Blacksands for example)

Just reading this has made me pull out my copy of Motley Crue to listen to. It's been awhile but I remember that Poison Apples and Hammered are two great songs.

As for which is their best album, I'm not sure. In alot of ways I think Too Fast For Love is their best album; it's so young and raw and has alot of cool tunes. Shout at the Devil was my introduction to them back when it first came out; it's a great album and I still listen to it once in awhile. I love Red Hot and Danger.

I haven't heard the new one yet, but I'd say that Too Fast and Shout are both better than any other Vince Neil Motley album. I don't mind some of Generation Swine, but it doesn't really suit Vince, and the Tommy and Nikki songs (Brandon and Rocketship) are terrible in my opinion.

After all that blabbing, I'll say that Too Fast For Love is the best Motley album.

i have to agree on too fast for love, it was awesome...
as far as corrobi i didnt hear but one song, that was"hooligans holiday"and it was wicked,it REALLY surprised me because i dont really like change, but i have to admit ii dont think it would have hurt the crue any.
that observation is just off of one song so cut me some slack...

Too Fast sounded Amaturish Brett? That's for good reason... It was. It was nothing more than a demo that they recorded themselves. The record company re-released it when they signed them. I would have to say "Shout At The Devil" and "Dr. Feelgood" are their best efforts.

I know blueeyed, it was released on Leathur Records. I know it's was a demo, hence it sounds pretty damn bad. I don't know how one could say it was their best work. Oh I forgot another winner from that album, "Come On And Dance." Scary stuff man. :0

Ugh I hate "Too Fast For Love," too much lame stuff on there. "Live Wire" and "Piece Of Your Action" are cool, but nonsense like "Starry Eyes," "Mary Go Round" and the title track are really amatuerish sounding. I don't know, I just never could get into that record.

"Shout At The Devil" is my pick as their best except for their awful rendition of "Helter Skelter." "Knock 'Em Dead Kid" has always been one of my favorite Crue tunes.

The '94 album with Corabi was good, the fans just couldn't take the change from someone like Vince Neil to John Corabi. We VH fans wouldn't know anything about that would we?

I like Dr. Feelgood the best! I also like their Greatest Hits that they released in 98.

I am with Yankee Rose here. I thought "Dr.Feelgood" was their best album. It is probably one of the few Crue albums where I enjoyed almost every track. The rest of their releases I would pick and choose through certain cuts.

The only Crue album I own is the best of but judging from the songs that appear on the albums I would definitely say "Dr. Feelgood"
