I loved Vito Bratta. Mike Tramp was a little wimpy sounding at times, and their clothes were too much at times (like in the most popular video from Mane Attraction). Sure miss Vito's guitar work though...

Actually I'm trying to forget them.

They weren't really all that good but Bratta was a great player though.

I liked them for a handful of songs that I still like to listen to, but the majority of their stuff was the same old bland hard rock crap that was put out in the eighties by hair bands. Like Brett said, Vito was a talented guitarist, but they never would have lasted very long with the quality of the material they put out. Sure, there were good guitar grooves and riffs, but when you have stupid, run of the mill lyrics and formula songs, it gets old fast. Their first album had three songs that I liked. The second one was the same, and one of those was a cover of "Radar Love". I never heard shit from the third, and apparently I didn't miss anything.

I think they were one of the best 80's bands! But I even liked Mike's 2nd band better, Freak of Nature.
Yes, sometimes he was a bit wimpy sounding, but his voice has developed so well over the last 13 years, I would even go as far as saying that he would be a suitable 4th singer for VH.
His last 2 Solo records are not so heavy, but really good. His new CD (with Steve Lukather) should be out any moment now...looking forward to that!

I feel that Vito is the best combination of Eddie and Rhoades that I've ever heard.

That guy is one of the few that you can count on one hand who not only heard the technical aspect, but understood the *vibe* and the melodic aspect of their styles, and combined them to create a great derivitive.

Vito is injured now, which is too bad. He became disillusioned with the music business back in the early nineties, and quit playing for a few years, if you can believe it.

He then became suddenly inspired again, but this time, it was to pick up classical guitar. He began practicing for 14 hours a day, but failed to build up his strength slowly, and used poor form, thus snapping a tendon in his wrist in the middle of a classical drill. He may have had surgery on it by now, I'm not really sure.

If I remember correctly, you guys do realize that James Lomenzo was their bassist, and is now playing with DLR?

I never really dug White Lion, except for "Little Fighter", personally. Weak songs, and Mike Tramp sounded like he was on whining every song he sang.

My brother went to this big concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium some years ago that featured bands like White Lion, Racer X, W.A.S.P., and loads of other 80's bands. It was a benefit show, I believe. He told me that *every* band was intro'd typical with roaring announcements like "LADiES AND GENTLEMEN....W.A.S.P.!!!!!!!!". But when it came to White Lion, they were the only band of the evening to have the announcer say "Uh........, White Lion". It was pretty embarrassing, to say the least. My brother said everyone in the crowd was snickering and many people left during their set.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

"I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."
