    Johnny Cash

Any of you'ns into Johnny Cash at all? Pick up Cocaine Blues from Winmx and give it a whirl. Hank Williams III did a killer remake of it. I have a live version of it and some guy asks Johnny if that song is gonna make it on the new album, and Johhny says "probably not".

Saw him recently on Larry King and he seems to be in poor health. He's 70 yo. and and looks even older. It was really sad. His last four cds w/ Rick Rubin are all great. On the second disc, "Unchained" Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are his backing band. If you like Cash I suggest picking up all four.

I remember reading in his autobiography "Cash" that him and Rick Rubin were going to go around the US and record a collection of gospel songs recorded live in various churches.
Anybody heard any word on that, if it was still going to happen?
I know Johnny's health isn't good; so maybe the whole idea has been scrapped, but that would be an incredible CD!
I saw Johnny on Larry King too; and yeah he really didn't look that good, but considering his age and all the health problems he's had he seemed in great spirits.

Johnny Cash kicks ass. I have "Live from San Quentin" and "Folsom Prison" on CD. I highly reccomend them to all.

Johnny has Parkinson's, so he has had a rough go of it for the past few years. He is without doubt one of our greatest American singer/songwriters.

All hail the great Johnny Cash! I picked up his essential cd, and it rocks! I love his cover of Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage."
