It is on RIGHT NOW and these guys kinda piss me off . They act like there the greatest american band ever , especially that dik Jon Bon Jovi sucks , I said it . I can't believe Van Halen opened for these guys in 95 in Europe .

I seen Mike or Ed say that Jon used to get pissed because Van Halen would not stay and watch Bon Jovi play there set , well I wouldn't either , they suck

    Music critics HATE Bon Jovi.

    And they're STILL overrated.

Now, I don't give a rat's ass what music critics think, because more often than not, they don't like VH either.

But when it comes to Bon Jovi, the critics earn their paychecks.

Jon Bon Jovi is the least talented bastard that has ever walked the face of the earth, but somehow, some way, he's managed to stay popular.

This bugs me to no end.

That VH ever opened for Bon Jovi is a stain upon their history.

No wonder BJ likes to remind everyone about it whenever they get the chance.

I gotta disagree. I'm not a huge fan, but Jon Bon Jovi is a very talented guy, probably too talented for his own good. Instead of writing from the heart he seems to really overthink everything, leading his music to be boring. Also, I think Ritchie Sambora has got a way better voice than Jon, and Ritchie should sing lead on some of their songs.

You know JBJ thought that Alex Such's bass playing sucked. Sorry for the pun ! Well their new guy doesn't seem that much of an improvement! Also I think Ed can play better at the keys than that David Bryan.

I do like some of Bon Jovi's old stuff but their attitudes make me want to change my mind.

Glenn, I will agree with you when it comes to Ritchie.

That man can play some guitar.

AND he can sing better than JBJ.

It's to bad that JBJ is the focus of the group. He's the worst element of it.

He's a ham-fistted lyricist (if you can call him a lyricist at all. )

I have had some issues with Jon Bon in the past, I even flipped him off to his face once. I didn't want to like their new cd, but it is actually very good. Probably as good as anything they've done. But, they are definitely NOT the greatest American band!

Bon Jovi's fame has always amazed me. As musicians, the are barely average, Richie Sambora is not a good guitar player, I don't care what anyone says. Take away JBJ looks and you got a guy with a typical hard rock voice, no character. I never could understand what the hell was so good about them, they were such a silly joke IMO. Still selling records, I just don't get it, but I guess there's no accounting for taste. And the lowlight of VH's career was opening for Bon Jovi, that was just sad.

I watched this show cuz the old lady wanted to see it.

BORING!!!! Who cares. I like the shows where people drank too much, smoked too much, partied too hard, maybe a death or two.
These guys were stressed cuz they were spending too much time together...that was their biggest problem. Did they really live the rock and roll lifestyle?? I think not. Pussies.

Plus they are way overrated. Never really cared for them much after they became huge.
I did see them open up for Ratt in 1984 and they blew Ratt off the stage. Mostly cuz JBJ actually moved on stage whereas Stephen Pearcy just stood there.

I think that Sambora really COULD have been somebody - on his own.

But his association with BJ is what killed his career.

(And most of his talent. )

I still say, though, that he's a good guitarist.

He just COULD have been better.

See what hanging out with JBJ does to you, kiddies?
