    Alright you guys and gals,
if you have not seen this band before, they are going to be touring this summer and I HIGHLY recommend you go see them. If you haven't listened to their music, download Up the Beach , Oceansize, Summertime Rolls, Mountain Song and Three Days. THEY KICK ASS and quite frankly are the best modern-day band since Led Zeppelin. OK, OK, how about: they are the best California band since VH. The drummer (stephen perkins) is awesome, the guitarist is great as well. Some people have a problem with Perry's voice but if you don't mind it, check 'em out. Flea will be on bass. "COMIN' DOWN THE MOUNTAIN, one of many children, everybody has their own opinion, everybody has their own opinion, holdin' it back, hurt so bad, jumpin' out of my flesh and I say ahhhhhhhh...Better cash in and check 'em out!

I've never seen them live, but wont miss it with Navvaro playin. Did you say FLEA is playing with them? Holy shit.

I got into Janes in about 90-91. Just blew my mind. Once in a while a group comes out that just does their own thing and it clicks with me. These guys are IT for me man. Perry Ferrel is a little on the fruitcake side, in fact the band is really, but the music is just phenom. I'm stoked with this. Thanks for the news.

You're right, they are all a little fucked up but the music is awesome. Perry Ferrel = perriferal - out on the edge. I saw them at the end of the Ritual tour in Sacto and then a month later for Lolapaloza in Mountain View and Denver. Then I saw 'em for the relapse tour (Flea joined them for this). I feel it's our duty like older brothers to slap our fellow VH bros/sis's in the head and make them realize they need to see this band ;} There sets are pretty short (75-80 min) but soooo worth checking out. www.coachella.com is the first show. I bought a ticket but when I found out they are doing a full fledged tour I told my friend to sell to one of his LA buddy's.

Now, your Blazers need some outside shooting if they are gonna go far. And of course Wallace is every bit as fucked in the head as his is a talented player. It's too bad, I hate the Lakers Maybe Rod can give them that outside touch. I'm gonna have to cheer for Utah though cause Stockton and Malone are ageless wonders. And I like it when the old farts take it to the young guns.

Heh heh. You need the NBA title up for grabs thread next door.

If any of you Halen fans are curious about JANES, any of the songs ledhead listed above would be good to sample. I like three days myself. I was lucky enough to have a day like that once. Oceansize has a little more bite to it for the rockers in the house, and Summertime Rolls is hypnotically mellow for the trippers out there as well as up the beach. Pink Floyd meets the cure kinda.

Dudes...I am all over this show. I can't believe they are actually touring. I never saw them live, but I heard they are amazing live. I actually was going to get tickets when Ferrel had Porno for Pyros....but it got cancelled And from what I heard, Janes was never going to tour again, so this makes me pumped. I also recommend, to the people, picking up Kettle Whistle. There are a few tunes on there that Flea recorded with them...awesome album.

Jane's Addiction kick ass! If you haven't already, check out the Perry Farrell movie "Gift". It's a perfect example of this guy's bizarre behavior.
