Has anyone heard this cd? Its a techno-electronica style cd, with several artist redoing mixes of Dave era VH.

Some of the songs are slaughtered, but most of its very interesting listening. Artist include Jack Russell of White Snake, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Kevin Dubrow of Quiet Riot, and Marq Torien of Bullet Boys.

You have to be open minded when you listen to it because it aint Van Halen and it aint metal, its like rave music or techno dance. But it has alot of VH riffs mixed in by other guitarist and one guy songs just like Dave, Jeff Scott Soto, its scary. Right down to the scram and shouts!

The first two times I listened to it, I thought it was a piece of shit, but the more I listen to it, the more I get it.

Yeah this one has been out for sometime. Last year I believe. I thought I was buying something cool, then played it, and was pissed. LOL. I should have read the title a tad better. Oh well. Out

This sounds like it should be in the Music only area. Moving now.

Yeah, same thing happened when I bought 3. LOL.

Anyway, I'm really skeptical of tribute CDs in general. They just never live up to what the inspiration was.

Jack Russell's of Great White, not Whitesnake. GET IT RIGHT!!!

I bought this one last year and sold it back. I was absolutely disgusted with it. I wanted a real rock tribute to VH, not some electronica shit.

Actually, you know what's a good VH Tribute album, I think it was the first one. "Everybody Wants Some". Now THERE's some interesting takes on VH.

I swear to God I had this one chick, this chick was poundin' on my door, she was kickin' and screamin' at my door 'til about 6.30 this morning. Finally, I just said, 'Fuck it!' and let her out of my room!" - David Lee Roth

    Talkin´ ´bout tribute albums:

Yesterday I was in a CD store and I saw:

TRIBUTE TO VAN HALEN 2000...with this little angel as 1984´s angel...I checked the setlist and I thoke: "Ummm nice songs"

    But I did´nt buy it...

    Why?

Because I bought DLR Band...but anyway The Tribute CD is very expensive(about $28 dollars...DLR Band cost me $12 dollars)

So now what´s your opinion about Tribute to Van Halen 2000?

What is understood need not be discussed.

Everybody is lookin´ for somethin´; somethin´ to fill in the holes...? is Van Halen right???
