I just heard this underrated gem from WACF on the radio about 10 minutes ago. A little bit of serendipity on a Monday morning.

TYWH gets a good amount of airplay in the Bay Area . Killer tune , one of my favorites to jam on the guitar .

A very good, underrated VH song. The guitar in the beginning is a cool and bluesy.

Among my VH top-10 (most days). How great is Dave's "Whoah" at the end of the band's intro jam? Whether verbal applause for Al, Mike and Ed's fine setup or if he's just reached the top of the roller coaster and knows what's coming, it's vintage Dave.

Take Your Whiskey Home is a great Van Halen song. Although it is underrated I still hear it on the local radio every once in a while. Basically Women and Children First is an underrated album in general. Thus, making most songs on it underrated although it is a very good album

Excellent! Esp. the acoustic intro and the way Al's timing is just a wee bit off when he comes in. Cool lyrics too. Party on Garth.

"Take Your Whiskey Home", is just another example of the fun that has been missing from the band Van Halen for some time now. A timeless rock classic that still sounds great 20+ years later.

An underrated song on an underrated album.

Van Halen hasn't had that kind of vibe in a tune in a long while.

EVH: Definitely. Playing guitar was my sanctuary. It was the one place I could go to if I got fucked around by a girlfriend, or anyone else, for that matter. It still is. If thereís something I canít deal with, I can just spend hours playing. Itís a God-given gift Ė I certainly donít know where the ideas come from. Theyíre obviously given to you, and you have to keep your fingers moving and your mind quiet. I try my best to not think about thinking, so I can just let it flow. Because when I start thinking, forget it. <br />So....why he isn't playing guitar ? ? ?

I love Take Your Whiskey Home! It's my favorite song off of Women And Children First. They should have had it on the Best Of instead of And The Cradle Will Rock IMO.

I like it, but IMO it's one of the weaker songs on WACF. Cool solo though.
