    I think Brian Jones' death gets forgotten somewhat because he had already left the band and they had just entered what became known as their strongest creative period after he left. That caused his death to seem less important to the rock world. I've always been fascinated with the apparent musical skill of Brian; it was said that he could pick up virtually any instrument and learn to play it in a very short period of time.

    Jim Morrison, to me, benefitted greatly from his own demise. It made him a legend in death that he likely wouldn't have been had he had the chance to age and further decline.
